About Carolyn
Carolyn Box is a wife, mother, and grandmother (MiMi). She has Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Human Sciences and Education. She retired after 21 years as a public school teacher to Middle School children. Partly as a result of her training in nutrition at the college level, she has long been interested in a healthy diet, natural supplements and alternative healing modalities. As a self-taught amateur reflexologist, she has worked on family and friends for years, relieving them of various ailments. As her retirement approached, she decided to become trained as a professional reflexologist. This would be a way to continue to serve others as Christ has called us to do and help make a difference in lives.
Carolyn's training is with The International Institute of Reflexology out of St. Petersburg, Florida. Although reflexology dates back as far as 2330 B.C., reflexology as we know it today was first researched and developed in the early 1930's by Eunice Ingham, a pioneer in her field. The International Institute of Reflexology was founded in 1973 by her nephew and protege Dwight C. Byers, who is currently the president of the Institute. He is recognized worldwide as a leading authority on foot and hand reflexology. Considering the Ingham method of reflexology to be the original and the best, Good for the Sole practices this method of reflexology.
